MIDLANDS IRISH SETTER SOCIETY OPEN SHOW
Held at Baginton Village Hall, Saturday 2 July 2005
An excellent entry awaited me and I would like to thank the exhibitors for their support at this very well run Club Open Show. In particular I felt that the Minor Puppy, Junior and Graduate bitch classes were very strong and this bodes well for the future of the breed. However with the alternating dog and bitch classes, by Yearling dog I felt that the males were starting to give their handlers a hard time, as their minds seemed to be on other things, i.e. bitches.
VeteranD (5,4) 1 Short’s Toftwood Into Temptation, although alone still worthy of his place, well balanced all through with a good outline, pleasing head and expression, good angulation front and rear, sound honest mover.
MPD (5,1): 1 Bott’s Kirkavagh Black the Affair at Bardonhill, quality dog puppy of good type, lovely head and eye, good reach of neck leading into well placed shoulders, gently sloping topline, strong well bent stifles.
